On July 9, 1994, Lavern found himself laying paralyzed in a hospital bed wondering whether his future in life would vanish. Many weeks and miracles later, his fiancée, along with a myriad of others, praised God when his hospital release came. Life after his release was never the same, although it took on a sense of new normality. With God’s help and the support of others, Lavern and Rebecca were able to find a source of income that commplements his physical abilities—Riverbend Promotional Products.
